Please remove any personal items that you do not want to be photographed (Photos, Medications, important paperwork, jewelry). When the 3D technology scans the entire room, it will pick up on everything in the room, personal effects included.

Please make sure all rooms and hallways are clean and staged as you would like them to appear in the scan. Make sure dishes are clean and put away, beds are made, laundry put away and blinds & drapes are open.

The golden rule here is to declutter the entire home prior to the scan. Then stand at several points in the room and do a 360º turn while looking for things that might look out of place.

If you have any pets, please find a comfortable and contained space for them. It's best if they are not in the property while the Matterport photographer is on site. Animals can easily knock over the camera and cause damage as well as possibly showing up in the scan. If you need to keep your pet inside then please keep them with you.

If at all possible, it's best if the photographer can be alone in the space while scanning. Every 30 seconds the photographer moves the camera and hides out of the way during the scan. Depending on the size of the space this will be repeated 75-200 times. It is more difficult if the photographer has to make sure others are hiding as well.
